Jadrolinija Temporarily Cancels Split to Ancona Ferry Route

Croatia’s main ferry operator Jadrolinija cancels Split to Ancona ferry sailings between May and July 2026.

According to Jadrolinija, the decision was made because of rising operational costs, particularly higher fuel prices, as well as ongoing supply chain difficulties affecting the wider transport sector.

Between May 13 and July 2, 2026, the company will cancel 15 planned journeys connecting Split and Ancona. The changes mainly affect travellers planning direct ferry connections between Croatia and Italy during the early summer period.

Jadrolinija says its priority remains maintaining reliable ferry links between the Croatian mainland and islands, which are considered essential for everyday life along the Adriatic coast.

International ferry routes between Split and Bari, as well as Dubrovnik and Bari, will continue operating according to the published schedule.

Passengers who already purchased tickets for cancelled sailings will be entitled to refunds.

Updated schedules and additional information are available on the official Jadrolinija website.
