Dubrovnik Pass, often called Dubrovnik City Pass or Dubrovnik Card, is a digital card that gives you access to the city walls, public transport, as well as discounts on various tours, restaurants and attractions for a fixed period of time. It’s available for 1, 3 or 7 days, depending on how long you are staying in Dubrovnik.
If you are planning to visit the main attractions like city walls and use public transport, Dubrovnik Pass is usually worth it, as it can save you a significant amount of money. If that’s not your plan, you probably don’t need it.
If you are still planning your trip, see our Dubrovnik Travel Guide for practical tips on where to stay, what to see and how to get around.

Where to buy Dubrovnik Pass and prices
You can buy Dubrovnik Pass online on the official website or in person at more than 30 locations across the city, including tourist information centres, hotels, museums and travel agencies.
The price for a 1-day pass is €40, the 3-day pass costs €50, and the 7-day pass is €60.
These prices apply to adults. Children under 7 years old can enter attractions and use public transport free of charge when accompanied by an adult with a Dubrovnik Pass.
How Dubrovnik Pass works (activation and use)
Buying the pass does not activate it automatically. It is activated the first time you use it.
Activation happens when you first scan it on a bus or at the entrance to the city walls, museums or other included sites. A 1-day pass is valid for 24 hours from the moment of activation, a 3-day pass for 72 hours, and a 7-day pass for 168 hours. Once activated, the pass runs continuously and cannot be paused.
This is something that often confuses visitors. For example, if you activate a 1-day pass at 7 am on Tuesday, it will be valid until 7 am on Wednesday. Because of this, it is worth planning your first use carefully.
If you buy the pass online, you will receive a digital version which you can use directly on your phone.
When using public buses, you will receive a ticket after scanning your pass. Keep this ticket, as you will need it for the duration of the pass. If you lose it, it cannot be replaced.

What is included in Dubrovnik Pass
Dubrovnik Pass comes in three options, and the main differences are the price, duration and the extra benefits included in each version.
All versions of Dubrovnik Pass include entry to the city walls, fort Lovrijenac, around 10 Dubrovnik museums and public buses operated by Libertas. These are the options most visitors actually use and the main reason they buy the Dubrovnik Pass.
It also offers discounts on organised tours, day trips, selected restaurants and shops, cultural events such as Linđo performances, and some attractions in the Dubrovnik region, including the Ston walls.
1-day Dubrovnik Pass
The 1-day Dubrovnik Pass includes entry to the city walls, Fort Lovrijenac, around 10 museums, a 24-hour bus ticket and various discounts. The price is €40.
Here is a simple real-life example to help you understand its value. Imagine you are staying in Dubrovnik for two days, using public transport and planning to visit the city walls and a few museums.
A ticket for the city walls alone costs €40 per adult without the pass. A single bus ride costs €2.50 if you buy it from the driver, which is €5 for a return trip. A full-day bus ticket costs €5.31.
Dubrovnik museums offer a combined ticket for around €20 per person, covering multiple museums. Individual museum tickets are usually around €10 each.
In other words, what you get with the Dubrovnik Pass for €40 would normally cost over €65, even without counting additional discounts. If you plan to explore the city actively in one day, it usually pays off.
3-day Dubrovnik Pass
The 3-day Dubrovnik Pass includes everything in the 1-day version, along with a 3-day bus ticket and an additional 20% discount for Lokrum.
A 3-day bus ticket would normally cost €12, while a Lokrum ticket is €30 per person.
This pass is worth it if you are planning three active days in Dubrovnik.
7-day Dubrovnik Pass
The 7-day Dubrovnik Pass includes everything from the other options, along with additional discounts such as 30% off Lokrum and 30% off the entrance ticket for Mljet National Park, as well as a 7-day bus ticket.
Libertas does not offer a standard 7-day ticket, so without the pass you would need to combine shorter tickets, which would cost over €25.
Entrance to Mljet National Park usually costs between €20 and €30 depending on the season and includes access to St Mary’s Island, transport within the park and other services.
This pass makes sense if you are staying longer (at least 5 days), using public transport and planning day trips in the surrounding area.

Is Dubrovnik Pass worth it?
The savings with Dubrovnik Pass can be significant, but it depends on how much you plan to use it.
The simplest way to decide is to think about how many days you are staying, whether you will use public transport, and whether you plan to visit key attractions such as the city walls.
In practice, if you plan to walk the city walls and use buses, the pass usually pays for itself in a single day.
How to choose the right one
Dubrovnik Pass is not essential, but in most cases it offers good value. Choosing the right Dubrovnik Pass mostly comes down to how many days you have and how much you plan to see.
Most visitors will at least walk the city walls. If you are staying outside the Old Town and using buses to get there and back, the 1-day pass already makes sense.
If you are staying longer, planning to explore the Old Town, go swimming and visit places around Dubrovnik such as Arboretum Trsteno, Mljet or Lokrum, the 3-day or 7-day pass is usually a better choice.
On the other hand, if you are staying inside the Old Town, you may not use public transport much, as everything is within walking distance. If you are not interested in visiting paid attractions, the Dubrovnik Pass is unlikely to offer much value.
